It’s almost May which means one thing for college students; SUMMER! We’re all beyond ready to pack up our home away from home and go back to our family, friends, and most importantly home-cooked meals in our hometown. But before all is said and done, one thing stands in our way: finals week. If you’re procrastinating by reading this, you might as well take it a step further and binge watch Shonda Rhime’s first baby, Grey’s Anatomy. Grey’s and finals embody a lot of common themes, including tears, shots of tequila, laughs and death (to your GPA, of course). In one way or another, we have all felt like this during finals week.
When you go to your last class before the final, and your professor announces it will be a cumulative final.
When the know it all in your class brags about how they can opt out of the final because they have already have an A.
When you crack open your notes and you suddenly realize you feel a lot like this.
When one of your friends asks how you think you’re going to do on your test.
When you’ve been in the library overnight and really have nothing to show for it.
When you finally leave the library and can’t decide what you want to do first.
When you get back to studying and realize that you just can’t do it anymore.
When you’ve accepted defeat and just need a drink.
When you call your person a couple of shots deep while panicking about your test the next day.
When your professor starts handing out the final.
And finally, when you finish your last final and can go home!
“We have to dance it out. That’s how we finish.” -Cristina Yang
