The MTV Video Music Awards was filled with many celebrities. Many musical artists of course, but also a lot of talent that grace social media and some of your favorite MTV shows. Carly Aquilino worked the white carpet on August 28t in a stunning blush pink slip dress and killing it with her outgoing and charismatic personality. You may know Carly from the MTV show Girl Code which has been a huge hit especially for college women. I’ve had the honor to meet Carly at Her Conference 2015 and after meeting her I always wanted to know one question in particular. “What is the biggest girl code you could give to a college girl?” This question immediately came the mind once I learned that I had the opportunity to interview her and Carly was more than happy to give some college women advice.
Shanice: “What is the biggest girl code you could give to a college girl?”
Carly: “College girl, um… be careful and be yourself and… I think be careful is number one and be yourself. And surround yourself with good people.”
Shanice: “Great Advice!”
Carly: “Major key, major key.”
Shanice: “What are you looking forward to tonight? Everyone is talking about how Kanye is going to have the stage to hmself for four minutes.”
Carly: “I’m looking forward to Beyonce, I’m looking forward to the girls. I’m like really girl centric right now I think Beyonce, Rihanna winning the Video Vanguard Award and her performances, Britney killing it and crushing it. And that’s really… and those are the ones I’m like damn yes!”
Shanice: “We’re in New York City. What is your favorite place to go in New York City? A place you have to go to at least once.”
Carly: “My favorite place in New York City. This is stupid because it’s a chain, but I love Dave and Busters.”
Shanice: “Yes, high five girl!”
Carly: “I love Dave and Busters! First of all, it’s my favorite restaurant and it’s my favorite place to go. It’s so much fun. I love it!”
