5 Fall Decor DIY’s

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mville chapter.

Fall is officially here! That means it’s time to set the mood around your own personal space. Personally, I love DIY decorations. It’s fun to do with friends and also allows you to take a break from school and work to just do something fun! Here are 5 DIY Fall Decorations you should try.

  1. Autumn Leaf Mason Jars Let’s be real, mason jars are amazing. They have so many uses and are pretty simple, but stylish. This DIY takes a simple mason jar and dresses it up with some colorful fall leaves! What makes it even cuter is you can use it to hold pens or pencils or even use them as a candle holder.

  2. Fall Leaf Monogram For all my monogram fanatics out there, this one is for you. This DIY is simple since you can easily find wooden cut outs of a leaf and the letters for your initals at any craft store. This DIY allows you to get creative and use paint to add a nice touch to your door or anywhere in your room!

  3. Leaf Bowl Leaves don’t just have to fall to the ground to look pretty. You can use them to help create another form of storage! This DIY leaf bowl is not only fun, but it adds a unique crafty touch anywhere in your dorm or home. It can even hold some light things such as mail, mints or anything else you’d like!

  4. Pumpkin Word Art Fall is the season of pumpkin everything! This DIY makes pumpkins look better than your basic cut outs! Get some mini pumpkins or whatever size you want, grab some paint pens and get to work! You can put words of inspiration or even a cute design. This is great to have around your dorm or even in your house.

  5. Glitter Acorns Who would of thought that acorns can be incorporated into a cute craft? This DIY makes acorns look glamours! Grab a few acorns, use some glue and glitter and you’ll have a chic way to decorate your space! You can put them in a vase and add some faux leaves which I think can look really chic and cute.
