5 Things to Do on Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at MTSU chapter.

Spring break is here!

If classes have got you stressed out, don’t worry because this is your week to chill out.

  1. Catch up on your Youtube and Netflix shows.

Shows and videos are always coming out on these sights. With those stacks of homework, you are probably a little bit behind. Look down your list get you a snack and just start watching. For me, I will be catching up on Glam and Gore and My Hero Academia.

    2. Visit high school friends.

After college, your high school friend group most likely has split up. Get back in the group chat and plan a meetup. With a week of nothing, the best thing to do is reconnect. Get some coffee, chill at each other’s houses, and talk about your times at college.

    3. Hang out with your family and pets.

This is the one I am looking forward to the most. When I am at school my pet is the one I miss the most. Take your animal out for a walk or snuggle with them. Of course, family is important too! I plan on visiting my grandparents, my brother, and my parents. I miss them all when I am at school.

    4. Relax

School is stressful. There is project after project and plan after plan. Take a while just to sit in silence and do nothing. Sometimes we take nothing on the schedule for granted. It is healthy to give yourself a break once and a while. This doesn’t have to be for long. Take 10 or 20 minutes then jump back on one of the other activities.

    5. Do that homework that one teacher that doesn’t know what a break is, gives you.

There is always that one teacher that doesn’t know the concept of a break. I would recommend doing this on the second or third day of your break. On these days you had one or two days to relax but you are not too out of the school mode to get your work done. If you get it done at this time you won’t be scrambling to do it at the last minute.
