With a brand new year always comes an impressive roster of new movies to be excited for. Ladies, get ready to plan some girls nights, date nights and family movie outings.

“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is a film based in 1969 in California set to come out July 26, 2019. It has a cast of amazing actors that could easily excite anyone. From some powerful men in film like Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Al Pacino to some beautiful leading ladies like Margot Robbie and Dakota Fanning. Directed by the legendary Quentin Tarantino, this movie is a must watch for the bell bottom, jean jacket California dreamers.

“Us”

Another Jordan Peele gem, “Us” hopefully will live up to the amazing piece of cinematography that was his last thriller “Get Out.” With a cast filled with black leads and a black director, I am so living for this representation! The cast includes Lupita Nyong’o, the Kenyan-Mexican actress that showcased her talent spectacularly this past year in the movie Black Panther among others. For any lover of psychological thrillers, look out for March 22, 2019.

“Pet Sematary”

Set to come out April 5, 2019, this adaptation of Stephen King’s novel directed by Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer is another movie to keep your eyes out for if you enjoy horror films. After the popularity of It in 2017, another movie adapted from a Stephen King novel, the bar is set pretty high for this new supernatural thriller!

“Toy Story 4”

Get ready for a family movie night because “Toy Story” is coming back June 21, 2019! Starring Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, directed by Josh Cooley, we are all rightfully shook and excited for our childhood hearts to be filled with the joy Woody’s hat and Buzz’s astronaut outfit have to offer.

“Little”

On April 12, 2019 this comedy with a hilarious cast of leading colored ladies like Regina Hall and Issa Rae will be released. Directed by Tina Gordon Chism, this movie is about a woman who at a powerful point in the middle of adulthood and her thriving career gets transformed into her younger self.
