Meet This Week’s Campus Cutie, Shawn Stotz!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Montclair chapter.

Name: Shawn Stotz

Year: Third

Major: Athletic Training

Sign: Scorpio

What made you want to attend Montclair?

The campus itself is a very nice place to be at.  Coming from Bergen for two years, it is a huge difference in the scenery. I received my Associates in Arts from Bergen and got accepted into the Athletic Training program here at MSU. The program is a well-known, prestigious department and I am very satisfied with being part of it. I also have a few friends and my girlfriend here, so coming here is an easy move. I’m planning on growing as a student and as a person at this school.

Where do you see yourself after you graduate?

Well, this probably seems like a long shot… but by being a part of A.T.T.R., I see myself working as a successful Athletic Trainer for some kind of collegiate or professional sports team. I see myself helping people as much as I can, and I’m not going to lie, make good money as well. I also see myself being with a great surrounding friends/family group.  My ambition in life is to live comfortably and travel wherever I want.

If you were to see your dream girl right now, what’s something she’d do that would change your mind and make you not want to approach her?

When it comes to turn-offs, I’d have to say having bad breath, being materialistic, and talk badly about others in her free time.

What’s piece of advice would you give girls when it comes to guys and relationships?

If you are interested in a guy, be straightforward about letting him know what you truly feel. In all honesty, guys don’t have a damn clue what you think. Be yourself and have confidence – guys love girls that have and show confidence. Smelling good and being ambitious are also great characteristics. If you’re talking to a guy, don’t be overbearing and also don’t act you don’t care.

What do you think of girls that walk into parties dressed provocatively?

Guys don’t judge girls – girls judge girls. Therefore, if you’re interested in hooking up with a guy that night, dress as provocatively as you want – but expect girls to judge you. At the same time, I’d never trust a girl if she hooks up with me within an hour of meeting me because that’d be too easy. Some of the best things in life are the hardest things to get.

What is one thing that girls care way too much about that guys don’t notice at all? What are some things guys do notice?

I don’t notice bags, shoes, and manicures. I actually notice nice hair, a nice smile, and we do notice your figure, obviously.
