Welcome to October, the season where fall becomes the theme of everything. For some people, this season is when they truly thrive and can break out their favorite outfits and decorate with their favorite colors. If you’re anything like me, however, your style is more on the spring side when it comes to anything from clothing to decorations and even though you love fall, it can be hard to make your aesthetic fit with the season. Don’t worry though, it’s not impossible.

Get Decorations in Your Color

Even if your favorite color isn’t a fall color, there are still decorations you can find. It’s very common to find pumpkins that come in all different colors such as teal, pink, or even white to be neutral. You can also decorate with a wreath that has leaves on it in these colors or get flannel items. It’s also easy to find neutral colored pillows that have cute sayings such as “hello fall” on them to give the room a cozy feel.

Make the Room Smell Like Fall

Candles are a perfect way to give you all the autumn feels. However, it can be annoying to have a candle in your room that clashes with everything else. An easy and cute solution would be to get a candle holder that hides what the candle looks like. This way, your room is smelling warm and cozy but it also looks aesthetically pleasing. The same thing goes for wallflowers, for example, the ones that you can get at Bath and Body Works if you don’t want to use a candle. The scent of fall will still be in the air.

Find Fall Clothing That Works for You

Fall fashion is the best out of all the seasons in my opinion, but it can be hard when you want to wear the colors that compliment you the most and they aren’t in season. The first thing you should do is find the fall color that looks best on you since it will be easier to find clothing. However, you may be able to wear clothing that comes in your color, it might just be a darker shade. Pastels won’t really be out in the fall but a dark teal or mauve will be. As much as you may miss brighter shades, these darker ones may pleasantly surprise you. Also, a go-to for fall that will always remind you of the season is a flannel, and these come in multiple colors. Another option is to dress in neutral colors and accessorize with jewelry, hair accessories, and even scarves that are more your style. Just keep an open mind when shopping for fall and you will create outfits that you’ll love.

Remember that fall is only three months so enjoy the season and don’t worry too much about the colors. It’s a great season for food, fashion, and fun activities so try to do as much as you can. You’ll be back with your pastels before you know it!
