HCM: Why did you come to Montclair State University?
SC: I came to Montclair State because I wanted to be close to New York City so I could pursue my passion and goals in the film industry. Also, my family is from this area and my mom went to MSU so I kind of felt like this is where I belong.
HCM: What is your favorite thing about MSU?
SC: My favorite thing about MSU would be the creativity and being surrounded people who have an artistic drive. I also love the close proximity to the city and amazing view of it from campus!
HCM: What are you involved in on campus?
SC: The main thing I am involved in on campus is 1908 Magazine. I am one of the Video Production Directors, which entails making behind-the-scenes and promotional videos to showcase what the magazine does. I love it! We’ve started to expand the Video Production Team which is really exciting because this will enable us to start making more of an array of different kinds of videos.
HCM: What inspires you the most?
SC: I feel inspired when I’m surrounded by other people who are fulfilling what they love. You know when someone is talking about their passions and their eyes just light up and then you start talking about yours and it just turns into this exciting creative kick? That’s when I feel inspired.
HCM: What are you currently looking forward to?
SC: Currently, I’m looking forward to turning 21, (which she did this past Monday!) Not just because it’s my birthday but I feel like now, with this new age, I am completely settled and ready to fully venture out to explore and experience the field that I want to ultimately go into.
