Okay so, you know that burrito craving you get every once in a while? That chips and guacamole craving? Yes, we know, we all do. Then the question pops up, Chipotle or Moe’s?
Did you know that Chipotle was actually first opened in Denver, Colorado in 1993? And Moe’s first opened up in Georgia in 2000? These food chains have been here for a while. They have evolved into the most popular food chains out there. Let’s go through some subjects with both of these restaurants.
Size
Chipotle wins in size when it comes to bowls, burritos, and more. Size doesn’t always count, but it usually does when it comes to food. Chipotle’s food is larger than Moe’s, but Moe’s does come in clutch and throws in those amazing chips with your meal!
Price
“Guac is extra.” Yeah, we know just put a ton on there. The guac charge at Chipotle is higher than the charge at Moe’s. Interesting. Considering that we college students are trying to save every dime we can, Moe’s wins in the extra for guac round.
Decor and setting
“Welcome to Moe’s!” When you hear that, it’s like music to your ears. It reminds you how you’re about to get some bomb food. The setting at Moe’s is a more comfortable and fun. It has vibrant colors and decor. Moe’s also has a fun menu. Chipotle is more modern. Plain colors, but still nice inside.
Chips
Okay, chips matter. Moe’s has guac and queso. You can’t go wrong with either one. The chips are Moe’s are regular tortilla chips with some salt. The only problem is, the chips aren’t that strong. It can get a little messy and nothing is more upsetting than the sound of that broken chip. Chipotle’s chips have a hint of lime, which kind of throws me off. I enjoy just the plain salted ones. But Chipotle’s chips are strong. They barely break and can hold a lot of guac.
It all comes down to personal taste. But be ready to take that nap!
