HC: What do you do in your free time?
Stomper: “When I’m not cheering on my favorite athletes, I’m grazing in the meadow looking for a new patch of grass.”
HC: What is your favorite part of the hockey games?
Stomper: “Being on the ice, getting the crowd excited!”
HC: What has been your most interesting fan encounter?
Stomper: “I received a laminated picture with a couple fans that had been signed by them, which was cool because normally I’m the one doing the signing!”
HC: What is your favorite thing to do to get the crowd excited?
Stomper: “When I drive the ATV on the ice during the second intermission, it usually gets the crowd pumped up.”
HC: What is your favorite afternoon snack?
Stomper: “A big bowl of Gophers ;)”
HC: What’s your favorite part about being a mascot?
Stomper: “Getting to see the fans reactions when I’m around.”
HC: Do you have any signature moves? If so, what are they?
Stomper: “I wouldn’t say I have a signature move, but I have a flag on a hockey stick I bring out at every game!”
HC: How is being a mascot for hockey different from other sports?
Stomper: “You have to know how to skate without being able to see very well; it isn’t easy.”
HC: How do you pick a true Maverick fan out of the crowd?
Stomper: “Someone who’s usually loud, wearing purple and gold and always cheering for their team.”
HC: Best advice for anyone interested in being a mascot?
Stomper: “Be prepared for kids to jump on you. But most of all, make sure you have fun!”
