Oh my, the weather at Mizzou has been toying with our emotions lately. From warm weather that only lasts through the morning to snow storms that just won’t stop coming. I think we are all wondering when spring is going to show us its beautiful face for more than just one day. More than that, I think we are equally over prepared for the day when we wake up for class and only have to put on a t-shirt and shorts rather than the usual five layers of leggings, jeans, sweatshirt, coat, gloves and hat. Leaving more time to savor those extra ten minutes of sleep, of course! So here’s what the weather has been like recently:
A week ago we had our first glimpse of springtime and it was a celebration like:
So we tried to gather all of our friends out from their warm comfortable beds.
Once we got outside it was like:
But mother nature was just playing.
And it was as if we all instinctively found our inner J-Law running for shelter.
Then twenty minutes later the sun came back.
And we went back outside.
But just as the sun melted away the snow, this happened:
And we were like:
It’s like you could hear mother nature saying this:
And this:
But after all the emotions of the weather, the sun is starting to come out again. I think each of us, in fear of jinxing it and in hope of the extra sleep, are walking away like this:
With some begging in there, too.
