Summer is just around the bend — might as well start prepping for your glamourous hot-girl summer (Or hard-working girl summer)! These tips are sure to help you on your mission to have a fantastic and relaxing summer.

Penny-pinch!

You don’t want to blow all your hard-earned cash from the school year before it’s even June. Make sure you budget for summer and pay attention to your account balance.

A good way to save money is to follow the 30-day rule. The rule is simple: If you see something you want, wait 30 days before buying it. If you still want to make a big purchase after 30 days, go for it! But if you realize you’ve forgotten about the want 30 days later, it’s not worth the expense.

Money saved is money earned. And now you’ll have more to spend on drinks on the beach!

Safety first!

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! Summer heat is no joke and this year we’re expecting record-breaking heat. A trusty water bottle can go a long way in the summer sun and they’re always fun to decorate with stickers to show off your personality.

Water isn’t the only thing you’ll need to make it through the season. Stock up on SPF no matter what. Some Aloe Vera might also help those suffering from sunburn.

Even if you have a darker complexion or just “only tan,” doctors recommend wearing SPF 30 every day, according to Healthline.

Plan!

There’s no time to waste, summer is almost here! Make sure you sit down with your friends or rally them in a group chat so you can plan any big trips at the start of your vacation.

That way you can save up and plan how to use your money accordingly. Plus who doesn’t love a good countdown to a week with the girls? You can get ready for your Insta-worthy photoshoot and bikini bum debut.

Get out there and have a fantastic summer! Hopefully, these tips guide you on your journey to have the best vacation ever.

Every one of us needs to show how much we care for each other and, in the process, care for ourselves.
