Pet Peeve: When people assume

Are you a hook up or relationship kind of guy? I play it by ear

Describe your perfect soul mate: Looks fade, hair grays. There is nothing sexier than intriguing conversation. If she can handle living with an obsessive writer-musician and a Great Dane, she’s the one for me.

Dream job: Small writer’s alcove in my hometown; writing everyday, not caring about money or publishers or worry, with my family at my side and enough free time to travel and sail.

Who is your celebrity crush? Jackie Kennedy

Favorite Mizzou memory: The first day I walked into Neff Hall as a student. Not only was I emulating my forbearers, but I was also fulfilling a lifelong dream to study in the U.S. It’s an ongoing memory still being shaped.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Patagonia: It’s my dream to surf the swells and trad climb the Santa Ritas.

Fashion trend you don’t understand: Double cuffing jeans at the bottom.

Favorite place in the world: My hometown. No beauty surpasses that of my Dubica.
