With finals week stressing all of us out, it can be hard to feel the Holiday Spirit as we spend the week studying and taking exams. Here are my favorite parts of Christmas, including some of my family Christmas traditions.
Giving Others Presents
Of course, I love to receive presents, but what I love even more is giving other people gifts. I get so excited when I find the perfect gift for someone, that I can’t wait for them to open it. Seeing their faces when they open up the presents makes me so happy!
Wrapping Presents
I know a lot of people may not agree with me on this, but I love wrapping presents. I’m not always very good at it, but I just love picking out different wrapping papers for different people, or filling up a gift bag, and adding tissue paper, bows, and gift tags.
Family Gift Exchange
Every year, my dad’s side of the family does a gift exchange and is definitely one of my favorite parts of Christmas. All of the cousins and aunts and uncles gather at my Grandma’s house, and we have a huge lunch before exchanging gifts. It’s always full of a lot of laughing and love
Christmas Spirit
I love how during the Holidays, everyone is in a festive, happy mood. Even though it can be stressful for me, splitting time between separated parents, and having all the family find time to be able to all be together, each Christmas is always full of joy and love
Dogs
Having three dogs(in two houses) also adds fun to Christmas. I love buying my dogs Christmas themed toys. My one dog has a jingle bell collar to wear, while my other dog has a reindeer sweater. I especially love when my dad, Stepmom, dad’s dog, and I go to Petsmart so Oliver can get pictures with Santa. He gets so excited to be at the pet store, and see all of the other dogs.
