Last Minute Holiday Gift Ideas

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Millersville chapter.

We’ve all been there before: it’s the week before the holidays and you still haven’t bought any presents. Whether you’ve been busy studying for finals, packing for a trip, or you just have no idea what to get people, this list should help you come up with some quick and easy gift ideas!

Bath & Body Works Items

Bath & Body Works is the perfect place to find a great holiday gift for anyone on your list! They have everything from candles to lotions to bath bombs, plus they’re almost always having a buy three get three free sale, which means that you can get gifts for multiple people all in one stop!

Gift Cards

Some people are against giving gift cards, but I think they are a great option- especially for people you don’t know super well. A gift card to Starbucks or Amazon always come in handy at some point.

Jewelry

A bracelet or watch is a really nice gift that you can give to someone no matter how well you know them. There are shops on Etsy and in malls that you can customize jewelry to give to your mom, friend, or significant other, or for someone you don’t know as well, you can find great options in Kohl’s, Target, or other stores!

Food Kits

Every year around the holidays, school clubs or community organizations go door-to-door selling all kinds of food kits. Instead of just buying something for yourself, look at the catalogs and see if there is anything your friends or co-workers would like!

Miscellaneous Basket

One of my favorite gifts to give to my youngest cousin or kids I babysit for is a variety of little things individually wrapped and put into a big box or basket. Kids have a short attention span, so I think it’s a good idea to get them something they can use in one sitting. Something like a coloring book, crayons, markers, and candy is a good gift because they will be excited to use it and you can use it with them the next time you’re together.
