This week’s campus celebrity is sophomore Christian Kriebel and this year’s winner of the 2012 Mr. Millersville. Recently, Christian represented Millersville’s WIXQ 91.7 fm in the annual Mr. Millersville competition sponsored by the Millersville chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
Christian, a Douglassville native, heard about the Mr. Millersville competition through station manager (and previous campus celebrity, Daniella Singleton) at WIXQ. Mr. Millersville is a friendly competition among male students. The competition consisted of beachwear, a talent competition, question and answer and formalwear.
With his roommate Kyle on the piano, Christian performed a mash up of The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights” and “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” as his talent. His escort for the evening was Jesse Lynn Miller of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania.
“It was a great time with some fun bros,” Christian explained. “I thank everyone who came out and supported us.”
Christian is the current president of the Marauder Men’s Glee club. The group meets every Tuesday night at 7 pm in Jefferson Hall.
“It’s a fun group of guys who I get along with and have a great time singing with,” he explained.
Dr. Mark Boyle started the organization in fall of 2010, Christian has been a member since the beginning.
