Campus Personality: Aaron Price

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Millersville chapter.

He’s a Millersville alumnus, he doesn’t have a laptop and he still has sand in his car from the beach. Who is he? His real name is Aaron Danner, but he’s known to those who listen to 93.7 WSTW as Aaron Price.

This radio personality can be heard weeknights on 93.7 WSTW broadcasting from Wilmington, Delaware.

“Before that I worked at 99.3 Kiss FM in Harrisburg and FM 97 in Lancaster before that,” Aaron explained.

And of course, there’s never a dull moment when you work in radio. He’s met wrestling icon Hulk Hogan, a few members of Blink-182 and numerous up and coming bands.

But it doesn’t stop there for the Lancaster County native. He also had the opportunity to interview Lady Gaga on the phone before her days of fame.

“She’s very nice and very intelligent,” Aaron said of the singer.

For Aaron, a typical day at the station includes researching topics and entertainment news for his show, voicing and producing commercials, and working on a listener rewards program. He wraps up his day with a 5-hour on- air show.

“My favorite thing about radio is being able to be ridiculous and entertaining people. Sometimes we get free food. That doesn’t suck.”

His days at the ‘Ville weren’t too bad either. He was on WIXQ and his favorite class was Critical Cultural Communication Studies (COMM 401) with Dr. Greg Seigworth.

“Graduation day for me was awesome because I went back to finish school after being away for a few years. Finishing was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”

Aaron’s piece of advice for all you college students out there?

“Make sure you graduate, no matter what. If you finish with a degree, you have a huge advantage over the rest of the competition.”
