What are your hobbies?
My hobbies include going out with my friends, getting brunch, going to the beach, and when I’m home, spending lots and lot of time with me dog. I also can spend countless hours watching Buzzfeed food videos on Facebook.
What is your dream job?
My dream job would be to be in charge of my own media company where I would oversee the production and distribution of TV shows and films.
Do you get any cool perks with your FilmGate internship?
I’ve been able to meet a lot of people who have done some really cool projects, and in exchange for working six hours at Ultra, I get a free ticket! Also, during our conference I got to stay in a hotel in South Beach for a long weekend (but I was working most of the time).
What is your favorite movie and TV show?
My favorite movie that I can watch over and over again is “Anchorman”, I can quote it in its entirety and I have also dressed up as Ron Burgundy, mustache and all. My favorite TV show is “Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia”.
Are there any shows that you can’t stand?
Not one in particular but I am not a fan of really soapy and dramatic television shows. I think the Bachelor is ridiculous.
What food can you not get enough of?
CHOCOLATE. Chocolate covered pretzels are my fave. And bagels…but only if they are from New York.
What is your biggest pet peeve?
Being late. To me, being on time is arriving 5-10 minutes early. I can’t stand Miami time.
If you could live anywhere in the world where you choose?
Ditch Plains, Montauk.
What’s been your most embarrassing moment at UM?
At the beginning of the fall semester I tripped and fell on my face twice in a matter of about three minutes in Barracudas in the Grove. I was so embarrassed I literally ran out of the bar and my friends have never let me live it down.
Do you have any nicknames?
I have a few variations of the same nickname. When I was in middle school a teacher mistakenly called me Randal and I mistakenly made the mistake of telling my friends at college. Since then I have gone by everything from Randal, to Randy, and even Rand. At this point I have embraced it and even look if people say Randal. My roommate calls me Ken Ken, aka the author of this article.
What is one thing you couldn’t live without?
I don’t want to say my cellphone, but I think it’s my cellphone. Actually, I have gone a couple of days without my cellphone when I’ve broken it so then my answer would be my contacts…I hate wearing my glasses!
If you could meet any person in the world, who would it be?
Amy Schumer backstage at a Billy Joel concert so then we could meet him together.
