To Tinder or Not To Tinder?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

When it comes to meeting people when you’re single, most college students would say they’re too young for online dating. Well-known dating sites including Match.com and eHarmony are commonly used by those older than the undergraduate age group.

This is where the rising app “Tinder” comes in.

Tinder allows you to see users around your area and decide whether you‘d be interested or not. Here’s the catch: that person will never know if you “like” or “pass” on them. The only way they’ll know is if they “like” you back! Unlike other dating sites, Tinder does not have lengthy personality tests or anything of the sort.

However, reviews and word on the street say that Tinder is just a fun way to pass the time. Could it be that Tinder is just a fad and most users only log on for entertainment without any intention of connecting with anyone? Time will only tell.

Either way, Collegiettes, Tinder is definitely worth checking out…whatever your intentions. It might be a fun way to meet a cutie on spring break!
