Five Best Lines from Ariana Grande’s Sweetener

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Miami (OH) chapter.

Ariana Grande released her long-anticipated fourth album Sweetener a few months ago, and we haven’t stopped listening to it. Each song is so dreamy and filled with powerful lines about women empowerment, falling in love, and living your best life. Grande worked incredibly hard to create an album that perfectly encapsulated all the traumatic and beautiful moments that happened to her in the past year. Now, she is no longer waiting to release what she has been currently working on.

Just today she tweeted the title of her fifth album, “thank you, next,” which she says will be coming soon! Grande hinted that this album is all about empowerment and moving on from everything that has happened to her in the last few months.

So to hold us over until this new album is released, here are our top five favorite lines from the “Sweetener”:

1. Raindrops (An Angel Cried)

“The day you left me, an angel cried.”

2. R.E.M.

“Excuse me, um, I love you.”

3. God Is a Woman

“And he see the universe when I’m in company. It’s all in me.”

4. Everytime

“You get high and call on the regular. I get weak and fall like a teenager.”

5. Goodnight n Go

“Why d’ya have to be so cute? It’s impossible to ignore you.”
