As some people may know, right now there is a debate going on in regards to allow same sex marriages. Recently, it has been brought up to the federal level and many are saying that it is a constitutional right, not a luxury. Some slogans they have are: “Gay rights are civil rights”. There are many couples who have already taken advantage of the states who have passed legislation allowing same sex marriage. They have joined the fight for the law to state that it is a civil right that should be available to all.
In many states, there are couples who are just now being allowed to go public with their relationship. It has become obvious that the gay marriage issue is one that will be the start of even more controversy. The root of a lot of this debate comes from two area,s which are religious views and issues with the federal government.
As of April 1, 2013 the Supreme Court is still divided when it comes to this issue, just like many residents of the United States. Hopefully there will be a positive outcome soon to address or resolve the debate. Regardless, the most important thing in the world is love and it is shown in all forms.
