7 Signs Your College Year is Off to a Great Start

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Merrimack chapter.

1. You have the motivation to, and actually do, eat healthy food at Sparky’s

Summer consisted of vacations and unhealthy snacking in the break room at work, but this year, you’re off to a good start with salads, grilled chicken, and The Simple Servings Station

2. You haven’t slipped into a sweatpants slump (yet)

You are still dressing decently for classes and only wear your comfy, soft clothes around your room.  Keep up the good work, Sweatpants Season (Midterms) is coming soon.

3. You are going to all of your meetings and classes, and haven’t missed an assignment/deadline yet

You’re being productive and getting everything done.  You are working hard and you haven’t slipped behind.  Give yourself a pat on the back!

4. Your room is decorated as perfectly as you planned this summer

Whether it was hours spent on Pinterest, the melted crayon canvas project you executed perfectly, or the awesome posters you found that tie the room together, you are happy with how wonderful your living space looks now

5. You caught up with your friends and are back to your awesome selves

You didn’t see each other nearly as much as you wished this summer, but after a lot of hugging, talking, and catching up, you are back together.  Now you’ll be spending all of your free time with them and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

6. You are talking with your professors

You’ve learned that communicating with professors and participating in class is key.  Making connections and getting those A’s are imperative to your future.

7. Despite the stress of getting back into your school routine, you couldn’t be happier

It’s a lot of work and time, but you are having fun doing it all.  You are optimistic and excited for the great year you are going to have!
