Three words that describe you: loving, cautious, open

Most Inspirational person in your life: my mother. She has always been a woman who did what SHE wanted, no matter if she was talked about or ridiculed.

Why did you choose to come to MU? I loved the fact that it was a small school with small classes, because I valued that arranger ion from the professors for extra help.

What are some challenges you faced while attending MU? I was unable to complete my art minor because of nursing school, so that is a regret of mine. I also had roommate trouble freshman year that sort of jaded me for roommates afterward. But I chose great friends the rest of those years, and we are all still friends to this day.

You have your own business, what drove you to start that? It was all God. While working as a night shift labor and delivery nurse, I got sick one night and had to be admitted to the hospital. I was on medical leave from my job for a month before I returned to work, and when I returned, I had an anxiety attack and had to go home. I never returned after that night; being in that hospital that has been my second home suddenly felt foreign to me. Art has been my passion since I was a little girl. While working, I was barely able to paint or craft anymore. I decided while I was off work that I wanted to do what made me happy. With the encouragement of my mom, I made my art business my main focus. I decided that I want I do what makes me happy, not just something to pay the bills.

How do you describe success? Success is being ultimately happy with whatever you are doing. Period. Many people consider success as making a lot of money. That’s cool… But if you rarely see your family, or don’t have time for a family, is it worth it?

Goals: Get my art in all 50 states and all continents but Antarctica, and become a well known black artist!

Woot! I'm an indian chick who is kind of different. I am friendly and social
