Zacher Bayonne

Class: Senior

Major: Economics

Hometown: Florida

Status: Single

Three words that would describe me would be: kind, sincere, and determined

My interests are: my faith, music (I almost always have music playing, if not, stuck in my head), weight training, and taking long walks (I’m not saying this to be sappy, but I LOVE my long walks). Spending quality time with family and friends is also something I am very fond of, but that’s a given.

I’m the Drum Major of the Mighty Sound of Maryland (MSOM) Marching Band (I’m that guy who waves his arms and looks fancy and things– this role is obviously A LOT more serious than I just made it out to be). I am also the Drummer for Maryland Christian Fellowship. A part from those two organizations, I’m a board member of the Economics Association of Maryland, a regular attender of Cru, and you can also find me in the weight rooms of the Eppley Recreation Center spotting patrons, enforcing policy, and hopefully doing some personal training in the very near future.

10 years from now, I would like to have finished business school, hopefully started a part-time seminary program, needless to say, working full-time (in Finance or business consulting) and married to the wonderful woman who will help me navigate through this topsy-turvy wilderness called “life”. I bare the hope that she will embrace my past, accept my present, and build upon our future. In return, she can expect the same from me! That being said, when it comes down to it, I’m not stressing it; everything will happen in due time. If not in 10 years, then soon enough. Until then, I will make the most of my current stage of life and not forget to enjoy it while it’s here.

When it comes to ladies I look for a couple of things.: I enjoy a good sense of humor (meaning: somewhat silly, not dry, a kind sense of sarcasm, not too corny- I’m already corny as it is, so leave the corn to me.), a great degree of common courtesy, a fond respect for oneself and others (especially in terms of culture and social-economic status…), a sense of taste and class, confidence, humility, courage (to respectfully stand up for yourself and your ideals), level-headedness, and mild-temperedness all go a long way with me.

I also like someone who is driven, goal-oriented, ambitious; basically, someone who is passionate about something and out to make it happen (I will be your biggest supporter…I promise you that!). I also like someone who has an interest and a willingness to play sports or do things that are fitness related.

All that being said, the most important thing to me is her worldview. I would like someone who shares a similar worldview as I do. I don’t expect our worldviews to be identical, but needless to say, having a similar foundation by which we live our individual lives is important to me.

My turn-offs are rather straight forward. Gossiping is a HUGE turn off for me (not a fan at all). Crude language is also a turn-off for me. So are: hot temperedness, rudeness/snottiness, arrogance, and selfishness (I’m a giving person, so selfishness isn’t something I find appealing; that’s just not how I was brought up).

Bossiness or a micro-manager of others’ lives. Being materialistic, manipulative, very narrow-minded, and having a lack of respect for yourself and others are all not appealing to me. Self-righteousness, a critical personality, and a hypocritical nature are not highly regarded in book.

Lastly, I’m all for being realistic with our expectations/situations, but being a “negative Nancy” about life is a HUGE turn -off for me.

Favorite Pick-up line: WARNING: Use at your own risk (better yet, just don’t)…“Baby, if you were a hamburger at McDonald’s, you’d be the McGorgeous.

Ideal Date: I think I’d like a cooking date. For example, a date where we’d go to nice location and cook a gourmet dish with the help of professional chef sounds like a neat idea. I see that as an opportunity for a good time and good conversation. Moreover, who doesn’t love great food? Sounds like a win to me!

Celebrity Crush: I don’t have one. I know…I’ll add that to my to-do list (joking, of course).

Favorite Movie: Mulan/Tarzan (best soundtrack ever!). Truth be told, you can’t go wrong with Disney, right? I’m also a sucker for comedies.

Favorite Food: I’m not picky. I’m not a fan of spicy foods, but apart from that, I have no allergies I’m aware of so everything is fair game.

Favorite Vacation Spot: I went to Nicaragua with the Smith school this past winter and fell in love with San Juan Del Sur, so maybe there. I like warm weather and beaches, so somewhere like that would do.

Something not many people know about me: I speak Haitian Creole. I’m not the best at it, but I can certainly get by! On that note, S’AK PASE??? M’AP BOULE (Close enough)!
