6 Reasons Why Night Classes are the Worst

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

Night class is the WORST. As I sit here in my weekly Tuesday night class, I can’t help but think about all the reasons why I absolutely hate it.

  1. Scarfing down dinner before 6:30 class time does nothing for my growling tummy. After an hour of being here, the hunger already starts to come back.

  2. No matter how interesting the class may be, after an hour and 15 minutes, it becomes extremely boring and uninteresting.

  3. Most of the class is consumed thinking about what to eat when it’s over, all the other things you could be doing during this time, and how nice it’s going to feel to get in bed later on.

  4. Missing out on social media for 2 and a half hours is PAINFUL. Considering I check Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter everything 30 seconds, not being able to go on for 2 and a half hours is a major struggle.

  5. Not being able to watch Netflix. My nighttime ritual consists of a good unhealthy snack like Oreos, getting in my pajamas, putting my favorite pumpkin scented candle on, and watching Netflix until I’m ready to go to sleep. Night class, you’re messing with my nighttime mojo.

  6. Forcing my housemates to play Uno with me. 7pm to 9pm is the prime time to play card games considering everyone is usually running around all day until dinner time. I love playing Uno so I try to force my friends to have game nights with me whenever possible. So you could understand my frustration when that time is interrupted by a night class.
