There’s nothing like the thought of a new semester with new classes and new school work to make us crawl back under the covers and find comfort in the Netflix homepage. But after a month of binge-watching our favorite movies and televisions shows during winter break, you may be concerned that you have sucked our favorite streaming service dry. But have no fear! Here’s a list of new releases to ease your winter blues:

Friends: The Complete Series (January 1st)

Oh my god! Could we be any more excited?! Starring Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow. The lives, loves, and misadventures of six besties living in New York City are traced over the course of 10 seasons. Who needs real friends when you can be part of the gang?

Mean Girls (January 1st)

THIS IS NOT A DRILL! The plastics are now ruling over our computer screens, and we could not be happier about it! The comedy written by Tina Fey stars Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams. This movie is perfect for girls night and a reminder that college is way better than high school.

Dirty Dancing (January 2nd)

Oh Baby! What’s a better way to spend a night in than watching Patrick Swayze break a move or two? Swoon. Plus, if the lifting scene at the end doesn’t have you in tears of triumph I don’t know what will. Starring Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze.

William and Kate (January 14th)

Watch this when you are laying in bed eating a bowl of Ramen with a face mask on – nothing will make you feel more like royalty. While this movie may not star the real prince and duchess of Cambridge, the biopic does tell their real-life fairtytale. Starring Camilla Luddington and Nico Evers-Swindell.

Duck Dynasty: Collection (January 14th)

The beast beards on television! Follow the ups and downs of life for the Robertsons, a family who creted a business empire in the Louisiana bayou with duck calls and decoys.  Trust me, you’ve never seen reality t.v. like this before.

Dance Moms: Collection (January 14th)

If you thought writing a ten page paper was tough, try being the daughter of a crazy dance mom. This drama-filled reality show will make you never want to get up and dance again, but on the plus side you will never relate more to an 11 year-old-girl. Starring Abby Lee Miller.

The Interview (January 24th)

The movie that sparked international debate around the world should definitely be on every college students To-Watch List, not to mention that it stars Seth Rogen and Dave Franco. The hilarious duo work as tabloid reporters who have the opportunity to interview the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un. Think of it as your current events intake for the week.

Here are some releases to look out for in February 2015: Robocop, The Overnighters, M*A*S*H, Mr. Peabody and Sherman, Save the Date, and Russell Brand: Messiah Complex.

Good luck this next semester my fellow collegiates!
