Finding an author you love is no easy task. Sometimes, you read one great book, and then the others leave you disappointed. Other times, you may find a wonderful author but then discover they only have one published book. Below is a list I have compiled of my favorite binge-worthy authors.
Taylor Jenkins Reid
My favorite author on this list, Reid has gained a lot of popularity in recent years due to her many appearances on BookTok as well as her hit novel, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, beginning production for a movie. Reid specializes in writing period pieces, mainly those that center around Old Hollywood. Her writing includes fictionalized characters as well as real celebrities during those times. While most of Reid’s novels are standalone, she is known to interweave characters from her books into one another. As someone who has read all of Reid’s books, I must state that all are equally captivating and wonderful.
Elle Kennedy
Kennedy’s name may sound familiar because she is the author of the popular Off-Campus series. Though Off-Campus may be her most famous series, she has written over twenty books and over three series. Kennedy enjoys writing series focused around the stories of different friends within a friend group. Picking one character from the group to start with and then giving each member of the group their own story. Each book builds off of one another until everyone is left with a happy ending.
Anna Huang
Like Kennedy, Huang is arguably most famous for her Twisted series. Which each Twisted book follows the story of a different girl in their four-person friend group. Huang’s novels are captivating and full of drama, leaving you unable to stop reading until you find out the dates of Ava, Bridget, Jules, and Stella. Additionally, the full Twisted series can be found on Kindle Unlimited, which currently has a two-month free trial.
