Meet the Editor-in-Chief of Manhattan College’s own student run newspaper, The Quadrangle!

Name: Sean Sonnemann

Year: Junior

Major: Civil engineering

Minor: TBD

Hometown: The Bronx

Fun Fact: I can water ski!

What made you come to Manhattan College?

I came to Manhattan because of the good engineering program and the small size of the school. I also like that the school is close enough to home so I can go back whenever I need or want to, but it’s still far enough to live on campus.

What’s your favorite part about being the Editor-In-Chief of The Quadrangle?

I like getting to meet new people I’d never come in contact with otherwise, like new students and friends, and getting to know the administration and the professors. I also like going behind the scenes, whether it be at basketball games or the spring concert. I like being able to see things from a different light.

What other activities are you involved in on campus?

I’m a part of the ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), Chi Epsilon, Pen and Sword Honor Society, Student Court, and Tau Beta Pi.

Do you do any volunteer work?

I’m still involved with my local Boy Scout troop. We actually just went on a canoeing trip!

Who would you consider your idol?

I’ve got an uncle who is over 80 years old. He’s the happiest and most active person I know. When people ask him how he is, he always says wonderful (his friends actually call him Mr. Wonderful). He’s my idol because he’s enjoying life and living it to the fullest.

Where do you see yourself in 20 years?

Uhh.. haha. Maybe an engineer? Maybe business? Maybe something random? I always say that I think I’m going to have a midlife crisis and end up making rustic furniture for a living.
