Valentine’s Day Treats For Your Loved One!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lynn chapter.

Love is in the air! Do you want to do something special for your loved one? Instead of buying something expensive or doing exactly what you did last year,  you can make special treats. Even though your boyfriend/girlfriend might not admit it, everyone has a sweet tooth! Check out these three easy recipes you can whip up.

3 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse

Instead of buying the stereotypical heart box of chocolates why not make this special dessert? Whether if it’s for your girl or your hunky man, take the time to do something special this Valentines! In my opinion, you can never go wrong with Mousse, it practically melts in your mouth. It’s the right amount of sweet to make your loved one smile. It’s also really easy to whip up.

Pavlova

I tried this for the first time this past summer on a cruise. It quickly became my favorite non-chocolate dessert. I ended up ordering it twice a day with some mango or raspberry sorbet. The combinations of the flavor were exquisite. I mean who doesn’t love giant meringues? All that sugar is sure to be a sweet surprise.

Heart-Shaped Brownies

This has to be my favorite Valentine’s treat. I mean how cute are heart-shaped brownies? You can literally buy a box of brownie mix at Target or Publix and grab some pink icing and red sprinkles and you are set to make a lovely treat. You can also forgo the icing and just make the brownies, warm them up before serving and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

I hope you try out these cute ideas. If you cannot bake don’t worry, you can never go wrong with ice cream. Ice cream sundaes with pink and red sprinkles and even some chocolate shavings can go a long way!

I was born to write epic stories and live an interesting life. I am 19 and writing is my passion. I am type 1 diabetic and have been for 17 years. I have lived in South Florida my whole life and would love to be a famous author one day. Reading a steamy romance novel is my favorite pastime. I love romance, dogs, my friends and family, and my darling boyfriend. I’m always up for a good chat with friends and coffee! My sweet tooth is my entire mouth and I live every day like its my last.
