The Ultimate Guide For Your Galentine’s Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lynn chapter.

Who says that Valentine’s Day is only for couples? Being single doesn’t mean you’re singled out from the fun. Just because you haven’t met that special someone yet, doesn’t mean that you can’t spend it with your fellow gals who are in the same predicament as you. Here are some of the three best ways that you could be doing to turn what would’ve been a night of Netflix on the couch watching Rom-Coms and wishing you were the one being swept off your feet, to where you actually get off your feet and have fun with your besties!

1. Go Out to Eat

Who says you need a date to go out to eat on Valentine’s Day? Despite this being the day where restaurants are packed on every corner with couples waiting hours to be seated, you and your friends can simply choose somewhere you are all interested in going and have fun with each other. No need to worry about feeling awkward when the bill comes around, since group dinners are paid by each individual (unless you feel like treating each other of course), but otherwise, consider this a weight off your shoulder. No pressure to look or act a certain way since you’ll just be chilling with your girls.

2. Visit a Beauty Spa Or a Salon

Galentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to be able to get dolled up with your friends! Going out for a spa day with the people you love is much more enjoyable than going on your own. After all, who better than your besties to help you pick out that “oh-so-cute” nail polish or that’ll complement that new dress you bought last week. Take off the stress of the week by taking the time to spend together in a place where you’ll all come out feeling relaxed and pampered.

Being pampered is something we all need from time to time, and what better time than when you can all do this together? Your brand new mani-pedi will make you feel like royalty.

3. Have a Movie Night

Remember when I mentioned the night of Netflix Rom-Coms? Well, the truth is this is still an option on the table. Except now, instead of doing this on your own, you can invite your friends over for the ultimate Galentine’s Day movie night. Bring out the popcorn, pop the soda, and let the party begin! For added fun, dress up in cute PJs and make it a pajama party as well. Bring back the nostalgic moments of those middle school and high school sleepovers where you all share your deepest secrets only to laugh it off after.

Remember, however, you choose to spend your Galentine’s Day is up to you. After all, it’s all about the people that you love. So get out there and show your friends how much you love them!
