Unless you have been living under a rock, you must have heard and seen videos about the Tarte influencer trip to Dubai. TikTok is currently losing their minds on this all-expense paid trip. I’m here to tell you all about this trip.

Over 50 influencers were invited to a two-day luxury vacation and were allowed to bring a plus one. The influencers and their guests stayed at the luxury “The Ritz – Carlton” hotel. While arriving at the hotel room, all influencers’ rooms were decorated and had many goodies. Most of the goodies were Tarte beauty products, but other products were from small female-owned businesses. Each room came with its own private pool.

The goodies in the room were just the beginning treats of the trip. On the first day, the guests were taken out to the desert to drive ATVs and ride camels. After the adventurous morning, they were all treated to a massage. The night ended with a gold-themed dinner. On the second day, everyone was invited to the pool party. All the food and decorations at the party looked amazing. All the girls had a lot of fun bonding and getting to know each other. After the pool party, everyone relaxed and got ready to head back home.

This was not Tarte’s first influencer trip. Over the past couple of years, they’ve done many different trips to amazing locations. Although in the past, these trips were amazing for the brand, people are now wondering if, this time, the trip was beneficial for the brand. With all of these different Tarte products, viewers noticed that the influencers were using different brands than Tarte during their “Get Ready With Me” videos. Tarte must have spent millions of dollars on this trip but are the company sales increasing from it? People have noticed that a new job listing for a new marketing director was put on LinkedIn right after the trip ended. Tarte founder and CEO Maureen Kelly decided to do a giveaway with all the products in the room to create more buzz. It got people wondering if the trip had any benefit for the brand or did it hurt it. The brand obviously had massive exposure as everyone was talking about the trip.

This trip will be one trip the invited influencers and guests will always remember. What do you think about this influencer trip? Was it a smart marketing move for Tarte?
