Summer is my favorite time of year especially at the Jersey shore. Summer is the busiest time of year there a lot more people come down to the shore to see the boardwalk all the rides and arcades. The weather gets warmer, and the crowds all come to the beach to enjoy the weather and cool off in the ocean. My favorite thing about growing up at the beach was going to the beach during all day.Making sandcastles and swimming in the ocean until it was time for lunch and then I would run back in until it was time to live. We would then get ready for dinner and go to the boardwalk and ride on all the rides. Some days if we didn’t go to the beach we would hang out at the pool and jump of the diving board and play games. I would always still in the pool until my fingers got pruny. Then it was time to get out and have a snack such as pretzels or a maybe a sandwich and a juice box. Then a little later I would have a flavor ice ice pop these were my favorite growing up. Another good memory I had was visiting my family in Ocean City NJ. We walk on the boardwalk and get pizza from Manco and Manco. Then we would stop at Johnson’s popcorn for fresh, made caramel corn this is the best time to get when its still nice and warm. We would also stop in Shrivers for some candy and fudge. We would also get fresh squeezed lemonade to wash all the pizza down. Then we would go to dinner at the Anchorage this is one of my family’s favorite places to go. At night if we weren’t too tired, we would go to the rides and go on the Ferris wheel, the log flume, the spinning Dino’s. The Ferris wheel was my favorite it was very chill and relaxed it didn’t make me feel sick unlike the others. Having summer at the Jersey shore is the best way to spend it in my opinion. Being raised here is the main reason that I go home every summer since I miss it when I’m away at school.
