Gratitude is something that people have been talking about very frequently. Not only should people show gratitude for others but also for themselves. This is a great way to fall back in love with yourself if you are going through a hard time. Even if you are just looking for excuses to spoil yourself. Expressing gratitude is the perfect way to do this.

Everybody is different in many ways, to be able to show gratitude you need to really know yourself. I like to sit back and ask myself; do I truly know myself? What is my favorite thing to do, what is my favorite food, and how do I enjoy being spoiled? I love running errands alone, this is really my time to hang out with myself and let me think. Take a break from my social battery and just get things done. Some people do not enjoy being alone in public, therefore this might not be a good idea to express gratitude.

An effortless way to start spreading gratitude within yourself could be yoga. Yoga is a wonderful way to stretch your body and clear your mind. If you do not think you have enough time to, set an hour out of your day for yoga. There are so many different 5–10-minute meditations on YouTube. This could be added to your morning or night routine. This is something your body will thank you for overall. Another way I encourage sharing gratitude is by journaling.

Journaling is something that I have been doing for a while and always see myself coming back to it. My favorite journal is the “5-minute Journal”. You can get this journal on Amazon. This journal is nice because it already has set prompts for you. It asks you to fill in some goals for the day and some things you are thankful for. At night you will also fill out how your day was and some things you are thankful for that happened throughout the day. This is an amazing way to keep track of your day. A lot of times when we are asked what we are thankful for our minds tend to go blank. If we were to write something down daily, it can help people show how much gratitude we are truly sharing on a day-to-day basis.

Now is a time when everyone wants to find themselves in their 20s, but how are we supposed to grow as individuals if we are not loving ourselves? Practicing these methods will allow you to show gratitude within yourself and learn to love yourself. Journaling is a wonderful way to keep track of your growth through the years. See what you were worried about a year from now and realize how tiny that issue has become in perspective.
