If you are single or just avoiding Valentine’s Day altogether, do not worry because Galentine’s Day is here on February 13th! The day for girls – and girls only! As usual, holidays are known to be relaxing, and what a better way to spend this holiday than sitting back and watching your favorite Chick Flicks? According to Odyssey, here is a list of Galentine’s Day must-watch Chick Flicks.

Pretty In Pink

In the movie, Molly Ringwald plays a girl named Andie, who has to choose if she wants to date her childhood love or a wealthy emotional, ladies man. Pretty Pink is one of my favorites and it is even better with Molly Ringwald playing the lead role! She is one of my favorite actresses and I definitely recommend this movie.

Pretty Woman

This is such a good movie! Definitely one of my favorites. It is about a woman named Vivian (Julia Roberts), a prostitute, and Edward (Richard Gere), a wealthy businessman. They have feelings for one another, even though they come from different “worlds”. The man, Edward, is on a business trip and he meets Vivian. Later they go and spend the weekend together in Los Angeles, California. Vivian and Edward get closer and realize that they are meant to be! Pretty Woman is such a good movie and I am obsessed with it!

Clueless

Do not even get me started, I am obsessed with this movie. I know every line, and seriously, who doesn’t want to watch this movie?! Cher is played by Alicia Silverstone, and is a very wealthy girl who wants the best for people. She plays the “matchmaker” with her two teachers and helps a new girl named Tai adjust to the new school and new social life in Beverly Hills, California. Cheer also has a little secret crush on her stepbrother Josh (Paul Rudd).

A Cinderella Story

This movie stars the amazing Chad Michael Murray who plays Austin Ames, a football player, and Hillary Duff, who plays a teenager in California. Sam, Duff’s character, lives with her stepmom and stepsisters. She creates an anonymous email and just like any “Cinderella Story” she finds her “Prince Charming,” Austin, who happens to be the anonymous reply person she has been texting the entire time.

The Last Song

Warning: this movie may make you sob, but that is okay because it just means it is a FANTASTIC movie! Starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth – ugh, my favorite! The Last Song is about a girl named Ronnie, who is forced to bond with her dad over the summer where she meets a boy (Will) and they have feelings for one another. This movie is a coming of age, romantic and dramatic movie. It definitely will get all in your feels.

The Fault In Our Stars

Another beautiful sob story but a good one for sure! Hazel Grace is a sixteen year old cancer patient who meets Gus Waters in a support group for young adults who have cancer. They both start hanging out and they fall in love just like any other coming of age romantic movie. I will say this movie will get to you in a good way and it will give you chills: it’s a sad but heartwarming movie. I suggest having a pack of tissues while watching this one.

All these movies are great picks and I recommend all of them to watch with the girls. They will get in your feels, make you smile, even laugh, and sometimes cry, but that is okay because Galentine’s Day is for the girls! So grab some ice cream or a box of chocolates and enjoy these must-watch chick flicks with your besties!
