This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lynn chapter.

February 14th is that one day a year where it’s filled with love, flowers and chocolates. Valentine’s Day is not just for couples but they are for friendship too. Friendship is a powerful love relationship. A deep strong connection between two people is more. With that being said to all my besties here are 5 movies to watch on Valentine’s day

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants

One of my favorite movies of all time! A group of high school friends spend their first summer apart but a pair of jeans is the one thing that keeps them connected. This 2001 movie starring Blake Lively is a feel good film and perfect to watch on Valentine’s Day!

Clueless

Another great movie to watch with your bestie, 90s classic starring Alicia Silverstone (Cher) and Stacey Dash (Dionne). This coming of age comedy centers around two wealthy teens who are more interested in fashion and playing matchmaker. “As If”

Legally Blonde

Reese Witherspoon stars as a ditzy sorority girl (Elle Woods) who gets dumped by her Harvard bound boyfriend and she plans to win him back by applying to law school. Legally blonde portrays Elle Woods as a fashionista and an empowered woman. Another great movie and is one of my favorites!

Someone Great

After a young music journalist gets dumped by her boyfriend she and her besties live it up in the city that never sleeps. Another great film for you and your bestie!!!

How to Lose A Guy In Ten Days

Kate Hudson and Mathew McConaughey star in this classic rom com. The dynamic between these two create a very fun movie. The movie starts off with a bet between the two and they end up meeting each other going through the ups and downs of relationships, however the ending was really good, the typical airport scenes where the guy reaches the girl before she gets on a plane. Very well done and if you wanna really laugh then this is the movie for you!

With all being said there is nothing more powerful than friendship and these are the perfect movies for you and your bestie to watch on Valentine’s Day.
