Loyola Students’ Favorite Fall Fashion Trends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LUC chapter.

The best season of the year has finally arrived. Fall fashion is no doubt the best time to break out the stylish wardrobes. Personally, I get the cutest outfit inspiration from people I see walking around the city. There are so many personalities with different and unique styles for the season, so let’s see what fashion trends students at Loyola are currently loving.

“I normally don’t follow trends per say? I just stick with styles I’ve always loved, or what feels good. I’m honestly not even sure what the latest trends are. But for fall, I love pairing long sleeved tops or sweaters with shorts, or wearing turtlenecks under cute mini dresses. I think long sleeves with shorter pants have a cool effect. I also love wearing dark florals for fall/winter as opposed to lighter florals for spring/summer!”

-Elise McGannon, third-year

“Last fall I liked to wear the wool leggings with patterns paired with a big, comfy sweater. This year I’ve been into those long camel-colored blazer coats with the buttons on them. For coats I also love my maroon corduroy jacket with the fuzzy lining and collar. Anytime I wear tall boots in the fall, I like to pair them with some knee high socks that stick out just a little bit!”

-Mia Alvarez, third-year

“I feel like fall is the best season for fashion because there are so many opportunities to layer without having to wear bulky clothes. I love the new trend of color blocking, especially with more neutral colors. My personal favorite thing to wear during the fall season are sweaters.”

-Hannah Barn-ness, third-year

“Anything warm-colored. I love burgundy, I have a lot of burgundy clothes in my closet. I also love big sweaters for the fall, my sweatshirt game is out of this world. You can do just about anything when it comes to jeans in the fall. I like to pair those with my sweaters. I also really like multi colored scarves and wedged boots. I feel like if you’re trying to be distinguished for a type of identity of your outfit, they have to be in the warm color scheme. I’m really an olive and burgundy type of person when it comes to clothes for the fall.”

-Dianne Kelley, third-year

“I really like the look of scarves! I also really like wearing anything army green or grey. I like all fall clothing and fashion I can’t decide!”

-Isabella Pastika, third-year

As you can tell, everyone has their own way of dressing for the fall weather. I hope this gave some inspiration for new outfit ideas or maybe just an excuse to go shopping.
