The times we are living in are unlike any other. It’s important to go easy on yourself, check on your mental health, and overall, attempt to stay positive in the midst of everything else. I know it’s not a simple task, and it’s much easier said than done, but the most important thing is to just try your best to take care of yourself. Here are a few quotes that have really been close to my heart lately.

  1. “Life is tough but so are you.”

  2. “The only way out is through.”

  3. “Happiness comes in waves, it’ll find you again.”

  4. “Even the darkest nights will end, and the sun will rise again.”

  5. “When you focus on the good, the good gets better.”

  6. “Don’t worry about things you can’t control.”

  7. “At the end of every day, we can endure much more than we think we can.

  8. “Don’t let the internet rush you. Nobody is posting their failures.”

  9. “Find the joy in the little things and hope in unexpected places.”

  10. “Check your mindset twice as often as your phone.”

I know it may seem like these little quotes can’t change the big problems you’re enduring, and you’re right – they can’t. What these quotes can do is shine a little bit of hope and light into your daily life when you feel like everything is too much to handle. Everything you’re feeling is normal; take some time to yourself and breathe. Whether that means reading a few quotes, taking a bath, reading a good book, or just going outside, anything counts. Do whatever you feel is right to make this difficult time a little more bearable.

As a little girl, I spent hours writing stories. Obviously they weren't exactly bestsellers, but it was my passion nevertheless. I would fill up my notebooks with everything I didn't know how to say out loud, and anything I could imagine. Now, as a college student, I'm chasing my dream one word at a time. I'm currently studying English and Marketing, with the intention of becoming an editor.
