Last week I had to distress a shirt for an in-class play and it hit me: this shirt looks SO Kanye! Granted, it didn’t smell so good after I rubbed it in dirt, but it only cost around $10. So, if you’re looking for that Yezzy flair but don’t have $500 to throw around on a ripped sweater, why not try this DIY?

Supplies

1.     White shirt

2.     Scissors

3.     Coffee

4.     Dirt

5.     A dash a narcissism

Instructions

1.     Take your white shirt that’s much too big, and violently cut wholes in it.

2.     Remember that you’re trying to go for the “I wore this for 30 years in the desert” aesthetic.

3.     Now that your shirt has more wholes than material, dip it in water and ring out excess.

4.     Embrace your inner Jackson Pollock and sprinkle coffee all over the shirt.

5.     To give the shirt its final grit, find a plot of dirt and rub it in.

6.     Dry it out.

7.     IMPORTANT: Wear with confidence!

Pro-tip: Don’t dry it in public areas, it will be mistaken for actual trash (true story).
