Besides loving fashion i am also a sucker for beauty. I can easily walk past Topshop and not go in but walking past the likes of SpaceNK and Boots is tough on me. If I do enter I can spend alotta dollar on the new mascara thats out or a miracle cream, and I don’t even have wrinkles.

I used to spend all my money on buying expensive makeup, thinking that it would be better for my skin. However I have learnt from my spending sprees and that is; whatever the brand, some makeup will suit your skin and style and some just won’t. A lot of my friends swear by MAC and i love love love the packaging and what they have to offer, but my skin just doesn’t take to it well.

Here is an idea of my makeup bag:

For my eyebrows I let Rimmel supply me with this handy pencil which I use to add definition, and a brush to keep them into shape

I also use a Rimmel concealer for my blemishes and dark spots under my eyes

Dream liquid foundation has been a GOD SEND to me. I have dry skin and this creamy but light foundation stays on all day without sticking/drying or looking heavy. I recommend this to all. (make sure to get the right colour foundation for your skin. You can add bronzer and blusher later, so don’t go all ‘only way is essex’ with the base.

Kiehl’s LIP BALM (I use vanilla) is so soft and gives a light gloss to your lips without your hair getting stuck to them with every step you take

Maybelline great lash has been my mascara favourite for years even if every now and then I do try something different

Something expensive but I couldn’t live without is NARS blusher which highlights cheek bones and gives you a healthy glow without looking to dramatic

Here are five things beauty related i have asked for christmas as i believe they are well worth it…..

1. Clarasonic

Traditional methods of cleansing don’t get your skin as clean as you’d think. Fortunately, the lead inventor of Sonicare discovered a breakthrough in how we cleanse. Using Sonic Technology, Clarisonic’s patented micro-massage motion works within skin’s natural elasticity to gently remove the impurities traditional methods leave behind- leaving skin softer, smoother and more beautiful. The MIA is a smaller version of the original and can be popped in your wash bag for overnight stays.

2. NARS in ORGASM shade
Obviously needs replenishing yearly as I can’t get enough of it

3. Crabtree and Evelyn Hand cream
This pomegranate hand cream is like a delicious smelling glove that you put on. It keeps your hands soft and supple and also a yummy smell

4. Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray
A day spent at the beach and your hair looks great. Soft but wavy, like Ivy’s from 90210. Well here is that look in a bottle ladies. Apply after blow drying.

5. Kerastase Elixir
This should be added to damp hair. It is like liquid gold and hair is left in such good condition when this is used. Pricey but definitely worth it if you want hair like a Victoria’s secret model (who doesn’t)

One beauty tip I must share is ALWAYS use a primer under makeup – makeup is easier to apply and stays that way for the whole day!
