Fashion Blog – Fashion Gets Funny

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Leeds chapter.

On March 15th it’ll once again be time to sport our red noses and do something ‘funny for money’. From celebs trying their baking skills on ‘The Great Comic Relief Bake Off’ to Jessie J’s promise to shave her head, everyone’s doing their bit to help and those in fashion are not ones to be left out!

Stella McCartney is just one of fashion’s elite to get involved. In order to celebrate the cause, she has offered her design talents to Comic Relief this year and has created a capsule collection of t-shirts showing some of the world’s most famous faces (and a giraffe) wearing a red nose.

These fab T-shirts have been made with 100% Fairtrade-certified organic cotton and the best part is that a percentage of the profits will be going to Comic Relief! So not only can you get yourself a cute little tee (a Stella McCartney tee for that matter) but also you can feel good knowing that you’ve contributed to a great charity. At only £9.99 or £14.99 for an adult size, these T-shirts are a major bargain!

Here are the 5 different designs and some of fashion’s famous faces modeling them – unfortunately the giraffe design doesn’t come in adult sizes (!) but I thought it was just too cute to leave off!

Model David Gandy wears Tommy Cooper RND Tee (Adult Unisex) – £9.99

It’s Kate Moss mania as she models Kate Moss RND Tee (Adult Women’s) – £14.99

Marilyn Monroe RND Tee (Adult Women’s) – £14.99

Alexa Chung modelling The Beatles RND Tee (Adult Unisex) – £9.99

Giraffe RND Tee (Kids Unisex) – £5.99

To snap these up you can head to TK Maxx or you can go to http://shop.rednoseday.com/Group.aspx?GroupId=44.

However, Stella’s not the only fashionable lady showing her support this year, model Lara Stone has put her name – and her face – to the ‘Funniest Face’ campaign.

The campaign is inviting anyone and everyone to get involved and all you need is a red nose, a camera and yourself. Once you’ve got this, you just need to strike a pose with your nose and upload it to Sainsbury’s Facebook page – you even get to meet Jessie J if you win! With noses only costing £1 from Sainsbury’s, it’s such an easy, fun and cheap way to get involved… and how can you resist T-Specs, Dinomite and Triceytops!
