Golden Globe Winners
So, the annual Golden Globe awards took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night, the awards show which host Ricky Gervais classed as ‘a bit trashier and a bit drunker’ than the Oscars. Gervais returned to the show for his second year as host despite the much controversy he caused last year by insulting a-list celebrities. And he did not disappoint viewers this year either after sarcastically describing Madonna as ‘just like a virgin’, to which Madonna caused headlines by biting back at Gervais whilst on stage,  remarking that he should ‘come over here and do something about it.’ The actual winners of the show however may seem pretty predictable with British actor Colin Firth receiving the best Actor award for The King’s Speech, and Natalie Portman for best Actress for Black Swan.

Big Brother Brazil Rape Claim
Now we may be shocked by some of the stuff which appears on our screens during the British series of Big Brother, but incidents involving a wine bottle and a drunken woman on a lawn seem pretty innocent compared to an accusation of rape in the Brazilian version of the show. One male contestant has been investigated over suspicions of rape of another house-mate whilst she was asleep in the big brother house. Male model Daniel Echaniz, has been removed from the house after images were shown of him sexually abusing a female contestant whilst in bed with her, and has since been handed over to the Brazilian police for questioning.

Lady Gaga Twitter record
It may or may not be surprising to find out that Lady Gaga has become the first person in the history of Twitter to reach 18 million followers. The pop star has over taken the likes of Justin Bieber, who despite his millions of ‘Beliebers’ across the world, has only accumulated a mere 16.4 million followers of his account. Gaga revealed her gratitude to her fans by posting the following tweet: ‘Can’t believe I have 18,000,000 TwitterMonsters, really rad, was just a few years ago I barely had any’. Errr… ‘twittermonsters’?!

Sex and the City Prequel
Yep, it been revealed that we have not seen the last of Carrie and co our screens, as America’s CW network finally confirmed that the characters will return in a TV programme focussed on their younger years. The show is based on ‘The Carrie Diaries’, a book series written by Candace Bushnell , which follows the same characters through their time as school students before they move to New York. There have been dozens of rumours over who will play the role of Carrie in the place of Sarah Jessica Parker and the other characters, including possibilities of Miley Cyrus, Blake Lively and Emma Roberts being offered parts.

Heidi Klum and Seal to Divorce
As much as we want to believe that celebrity couples will stay together forever, it never seems to be the case, and the latest divorce in celeb-land is that of Heidi Klum and British soul singer Seal who are divorcing after seven years of marriage. The couple, who are well known for renewing their wedding vows every year, are still yet to confirm the split but are expected to file for divorce within a few days, and the reasons for the separation are being greatly speculated by the press. Taking to his Twitter site, Seal posted only the words ‘The End’, which is believed to be in reference to the end of his marriage. The split will inevitably result in a battle for their assets, as the couple are believed to be worth millions.
