It’s that wonderful time of year again! The leaves are changing, sweater weather is upon us and a whole new season of TV to binge has arrived! This autumn season has been filled with chilly air and plenty of rain, which is the perfect weather to cozy up in an oversized sweater, put the kettle on and get ready for some great TV. Here are three shows that I think everyone should be watching and hoping for more seasons:

This Is Us

The third season of this CTV drama airs Tuesdays at 9pm, and being only 3 episodes in, there’s still time to catch up on all the ups and downs that this show has. (Hint: seasons one and two are uploaded on Netflix, so be sure to check it out before you dive right in!) This Is Us follows the lives of the Pearson family, using present time and flashbacks to showcase various milestones from marriage to holidays, and all the little moments in between. Be prepared for tears, laughter and a whole lot of feelings with this show!

Big Mouth

A raunchy and laugh-out-loud animated comedy exclusively on Netflix, from the minds of comics Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg. Big Mouth is about adolescent children and their navigation through puberty, packed with everything from hormone monsters, entertaining characters and musical interludes. A show with witty writing, hilarious moments and an overwhelming nostalgia on being 13, it is a must-watch when you want a good laugh. Seasons one and two are available now on Netflix!

Atypical

Another coming-of-age Netflix original, revolving around the life of Sam, an 18-year-old who is on the autism spectrum. This show portrays the triumphs and trials he and his family face in their everyday lives, as well as the diversity of the autism spectrum. It is a heart-warming show that you’ll definitely be glad to give a chance, especially because of the wonderful writing, touching family moments and a story that lends visibility and representation to those with disabilities like Sam. With two seasons available, you’ll have plenty of time to truly enjoy it!

I hope you give these shows a chance this season, because with so much to choose from –  especially on Netflix – you’ll be able to really appreciate something you add to your list and finally get around to viewing!

Happy watching, Golden Hawks!
