Yeti, a Texan based company with the finest, most reliable, and most aesthetic reusable cups around. Yeti holds a special place in my heart and an even bigger space in my wallet. No knock off or off-brand can compare, and I highly recommend anyone who wants a reusable cup to seek out Yeti before any other brand.

Heat/ Cold Retention

Yeti is made out of stainless steel, like many other reusable cups. Although the double vacuum sealed walls and specifically designed lids are key to heat and cold retention. The magnetic lid helps keep the heat in or out depending on how you take your coffee. The first time I realized how amazing these cups were I knew I needed more. I got up and poured my coffee for an 8:30 am class in the brisk months of January. Although I am normally the first one to finish their coffee and move to the next, this day I did not finish the first one. It was now 4:30 and I was arriving at my work, I instinctively grabbed my Yeti and took a big swig, to my surprise it was still warm. It was no fresh hot cup of joe, but it was tolerable and even enjoyable. To me, this was a huge win. I never have to worry about my coffee going cold in my Yeti, mainly because I finish it within the first 2 hours, but also because of how much heat the cups contain.

Colours

Two minutes exploring the Yeti website and the aesthetics are very evident. From the sleek stainless steel to the bright white or even the metallic copper. There is a Yeti colour for everyone and every occasion. The colours can represent moods, occasions, or the person themselves. My husband bought me a white Yeti the day after our wedding to remember the white dress.

Price

This one can be a downside to some as the initial sticker shock is real. While the reusable cups can be as reasonable as 24.99 plus tax, the coolers are upwards of 3 or 4 hundred dollars. Yes, you read that right. But for this point, I want to focus on the tumbler’s cups and water bottles. At 24.99-49.99, it must be looked at as an investment. How many water bottles have you dumped out because they got warm? Or coffees that went cold? The Yeti solves these problems allowing you to save money on what you put inside. Pre COVID these were great cups to bring to Starbucks or Timmies and save 10 cents for bringing your own cup. The investment is one of warmth or cold depending on your coffee tastes, as well as an environmental one. Reusable cups, fewer straws, less plastic, and materials that need recycling. It is a win for your wallet and the environment.

Styles

This is my favourite part of Yeti. From water bottles with straw lids, to chug caps, sliding lids for tumblers, and my all-time favourite mug shape, there is a size and style for everyone. As a Nanny of three young girls, I love the versatility of the mug cup. The sliding lid keeps my coffee hot, while also providing a handle to grab while usually caring at least one kid. My water bottle is my second favourite, from keeping ice for hours to the handy carrying handle on the lid it is perfect for on the go.

Separately sold Accessories

Yes, virtually any straw will fit in the Yeti cups, but can your coffee tumbler turn into an iced teacup with the switch of a lid? Or have you ever lost the lid to a cup and had to buy a whole new one? Yeti solved this problem by selling a plethora of accessories including the lids and straws that already come in the cups! My husband lost the magnetic lid while at work once, and it was as easy as buying a new lid. Yes, it is money, but it is much cheaper than buying a new thermos or tumbler! With my water bottles, I can choose from a chug cap that is similar to a standard water bottle or my favourite straw cap (which prompts me to drink more).  Yeti, prolonging the lifespan of their cups time and time again.

I hope these 5 points convinced you that you need a Yeti, I know that it will change your coffee and water experience like it changed mine. So, explore https://www.yeti.com/en_CA/home. See the colour options, the style options, and start dreaming about owning a cooler or lawn chair someday! I promise it will not disappoint!
