Tyler’s Take: Jennifer Garner is More Than Just Family-Friendly Movies

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Have any of my fellow Her Campus hotties been completely mesmerized by Jennifer Garner’s totally bomb rendition of “Mary Had a Little Lamb”? Who knew that this Hollywood treasure would come through with such a virtuoso skill set.

Earlier last month, Garner took a break from talking about her separation with soon-to-be divorcé, Ben Affleck, to bless us with one of her many, yet low-key, talents such as being a jazz saxophonist on the down-low. Simply amazing. Just when you thought this Hollywood sweetheart was a basic b*tch, she bestows upon us commoners a woodwind melody like no other.

After conducting a slight Spotlight-like investigation, I’ve uncovered that Garner is actually an O.G. musician ever since her days back in high school. The jipped-of-an-Oscar-nomination actress for her performance in 13 Going On 30 had actually named her first ever saxophone “Sally the Sexy Saxophone,” according to The International Movie Database. I am high-key freaking out over that information right now.

I am just truly amazed and in awe at how incredible this walking piece of A-list royalty truly is. I can only dream to one day be sitting amongst an audience within Carnegie Hall while Garner drops absolute beats jamming on her sax. Maybe one day my dream may come true.
