Thankful for Our Fellow HerCampus Chapters… Gigi from Holy Cross

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

This Thanksgiving season, our chapter was lucky enough to be able to pair up with a few other HerCampus chapters from different schools; Holy Cross, University of Puerto Rico, and University of Michigan. I got the opportunity to meet with Gigi from Holy Cross, and we had such a blast talking and getting to know each other. Gigi is a junior from Braintree, MA, who is majoring in English. To learn more about Gigi and her role in the Holy Cross HerCampus chapter, I asked her five questions.

  1. What made you join HerCampus?

Gigi joined Hercampus because she found it to be an opportunity, as an English major, to be able to practice her creative writing skills. After a bit of a hiatus, her school’s chapter was reformed and it was a great outlet for her to practice her writing and be able to choose topics she enjoyed.

  1. What kinds of things do you most enjoy writing about?

Gigi says that she best likes writing about fashion advice, fitness, current events, pop culture, and pop media. She enjoys being able to put a creative spin on what she writes about.

  1. How is your school’s chapter set up?

According to Gigi, the Holy Cross HerCampus chapter is continuing to grow and welcome new members after their hiatus. Mostly everyone contributes articles. What I found most interesting was that the social media team really focuses on analytics to help their pages grow. They also love (like us) to do theme weeks!

  1. What do you do for HerCampus?

Other than being a writer and contributing articles, Gigi is a part of the HerCampus Holy Cross social media team.

  1. Other than HerCampus, what are some of your interests?

While HerCampus is Gigi’s main club on campus, she also partakes in the Real Estate club. She enjoys working out and taking fitness classes at the on campus gym. Off campus, Gigi likes to explore other outlets of creative writing, traveling, and to try new restaurants.

Kyra is a senior at Lasell University and is an elementary education major. She loves to hike, bake, and work with her students at daycare.
