Hello! My name is Yalines Medrano, and I am a sophomore here at Lasell. This marks my second year working here at Her Campus Lasell. I am Assistant Copy Editor and I’m also Assistant Event Director for this club! I am so grateful to have a position here on our executive board. It gives me more responsibility, but I love a challenge! I am majoring in Applied Forensic Science through Lasell’s Lasell Works programs. It’s a program that allows me to stay home and do my classes asynchronously while I work! I am fortunate to be in this program and still be able to go to campus. After I graduate, I plan to go to the police academy, become a police officer, and take the exam to become a Forensic Detective! I would love to live in a busy city to help the community.

Something that I’m passionate about is helping my community. During the week after classes, I am an assistant coach for a youth cheerleading team! Due to my background in gymnastics and cheering, I saw it as a no-brainer! It means a lot to me that I am able to give back to the community. Being able to develop a relationship with each girl and show their strengths and weakness so they can be better che

I am so excited to be back in classes here at Lasell! I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this club and can’t wait to write more articles for you all to read!
