Winter is coming. Temps are dropping. The time for the cold has come. Being on a college campus, it becomes even harder to fight off these illnesses. Surrounded by so many people, it can be close to impossible. However, the news is not all bad. Even though preventing the cold can be a struggle, getting rid of it can be a breeze. There are a few things that can kick the cold in just a day, and as a collegiate, the following 10 gems are essential to getting back to feeling like yourself.

 

1. Obviously, you’ll turn to our special friend DayQuil, and his ninja sidekick NyQuil.

 

2. Take a steamy, hot shower, it clears your sinuses.

3. Drink tea, it’s magical.

4. Get a few extra Zzzzzzzzs.

5. Try to eliminate what makes you stressed, it’s a natural killer.

6. NO MORE SNIFFLING, grab the tissues or your runny nose will never leave!

7. Garlic and spicy foods are very good at relieving the pressure in your face and chest.

8. Vitamin C is your secret weapon!

9. Wash your hands CONSTANTLY, more germs = more time added to your sentence.

10. Last but not least, never underestimate the power of a classic bowl of chicken noodle soup!
