Harry Styles and Florence Pugh on the Same Screen? Yes Please!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

If you are as big of a Harry Styles fan as I am, you are probably absolutely stoked for the movie Don’t Worry Darling. The movie wrapped up filming last week and now we await the release date! The film is supposed to be an American psychological thriller that takes place in the 1950s. Other actors and actresses featured are Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, Dakota Johnson, Shia LaBeouf, and so on.

The screenplay was written by Katie Silberman and Carey and Shane Van Dyke. The movie was directed by Olivia Wilde and I am personally so excited to see her work. The movie is said to be a female-led film. Wilde proceeded to shout out Harry Styles, her potential lover, on Instagram for taking the job to act alongside Florence Pugh and allow a woman to hold the spotlight. In the same post, she explained that it is difficult to find male actors to play supporting roles in female-led films and this just goes as another reason to love love love, Harry Styles.

Though I’m a Harry stan, I cannot decide whether I’m more excited to get new content from him or Florence Pugh. Florence Pugh has blown up as a fan-loved actress after her roles in Ari Astlers film Midsommar and Greta Gerwig’s 2019 adaptation of Little Women. So far she has portrayed every character flawlessly and I cannot wait to see her character “Alice” in Don’t Worry Darling. Not only are we getting new actor Harry content but there have been rumors that Styles was involved in the music production for the movie. Overall I cannot wait to see what he has in the future to come and if anyone needs to find me I’ll be front row at the theater the day it premieres!
