It’s just been London Fashion Week which means there have been some beautiful new makeup trends emerging ready for Spring and Summer 2017. These are five of my personal favourites.

1. Matte and Bronzed

This seems like the easiest of the trends to pull off however it can be quite hard to find a good matte bronzer. I took on the challenge and found the Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder from The Body Shop. It’s only £14 and is perfect for warming up your face to provide a sun-kissed glow.

2. Bright Blush

Initially this trend terrified me but I have found a way to make it more wearable! So I tried the L’Oreal Paint Chubby Blush in Fuchsia Fame which is literally a chubby stick for your cheeks. It is very pigmented but actually looks beautiful if you apply a little bit and blend it out to give a more natural flush to your cheeks. And it is only £6.99 from Superdrug (bargain).

3. A Pop Of Colour

Now this is a trend that can be done in the form of a bold lip. My personal favourite is the Mac lipstick in Crosswires £16.50.

Or by wearing a bright eyeliner in teal or purple on my lower lash line to add something a bit different to a plain eye look.

However, there were all sorts of different ways to do this on the catwalk including different coloured eyebrows.

4. Highlight

Who doesn’t love a good highlight? The craze for highlighted cheeks is continuing however the prominent trend on the catwalk was highlighting your inner corner. My favourite brush to do this with is the No7. Smokey eyeliner brush which is meant for smudging eyeliner but is the perfect size for precisely highlighting a small area. This retails at around £8-£10.

5. Glitter

Glitter, Glitter, glitter everywhere! I’m so excited about this trend! This look is perfect for a night out and lots of designers used glitter over the model’s lips, faces and eyebrows. One product that would be really good for achieving this look is Barry M’s Dazzle Dust, retailing at £4.59.
