You, me and every other Swiftie was anxiously awaiting to meet Taylor at Midnight on October 21st. 

To be completely honest, when Track 1, Lavender Haze, played I found myself slightly disappointed.  Midnights did not meet my initial expectations, as rumors had swirled about this being a Taylor rock album, or at a minimum as a folklore lover, I hoped for mellow pop. Instead I found myself with synthy-pop, a genre I thought I grew out of after age 13. I have to say I think sometimes the best songs, are the ones you weren’t so sure about after the first listen 

Disclaimer: My initial rankings list is much different then my list now after half a week of listening to Midnights on repeat. Like always, Taylor will certainly be my top listened to artist this year with this album drop.
